Lightspeed Sierra Review
This is my Lightspeed Sierra review and a comparison of the Lightspeed Sierra vs. David Clark X11 headsets. Once again these are only my views of the new Sierra and I hope that other pilots enjoy it as much as I have.
I have been using my Lightspeed Sierra headset for over a month now and must admit that I am quite impressed with the functionality of the Sierra more so than more expensive units that I have owned. Most recently I lost a David Clark X11 headset that I was quite fond of, instead of buying another X11, I figured I would give Lightspeed aviation a chance since hearing so many good reviews about the Lightspeed Zulu headset.
The Lightspeed Sierra is not the top of the line unit, it is actually considered a value unit for their headsets. Which I don't put value and a seven hundred dollars pair of aviation headsets in the same sentence often. Lightspeed Sierra takes the history of Lightspeed Aviations time tested models that have proven themselves to be best in class.
All in all I am very pleased with my Sierra headset from Lightspeed and would give it 5 out of 5 stars any day when compared against other pilot headsets. My best Lightspeed Sierra review would be the ease of use for the pilot and the quality of noise cancellation found in much more expensive ANR headsets. Sieraa packs a mighty mean punch for the price and is an overall keeper.
